Alfred
I met Alfredo rates during one of my first public readings. Both were born in 1981, we were recently released by the college. It was the summer of 2003 I believe, and mutual friends had organized a Offida number of days of lectures, exhibitions and theatrical performances for the public (who participated with enthusiasm).
Reading between me and the other Daniele De Angelis (our earliest beginnings, "The Crane" did not yet exist), and there I saw for the first time "Dalfrenzis" (with Alfredo Calvaresi were David and Francesco Cardarelli), which came from the school of mime Eugenio Ravo, which staged a tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini titled "huge prayer."
Among the audience was also attended by Ivan Paolini, mutual friend and talented designer, during the course of treatment which then leads to premature death in 2004 ("And I who have lived only a night and already Exhausted as I return from a civil war ...").
Alfredo Rates died on February 5, 2009, in Dijon (France), where he was preparing for the "Societas Raffaello Sanzio Inferno sets for the show, in mysterious circumstances on which the French police are still investigating. The first confusing news tells us of a sudden illness (rumored at the beginning: a heart attack), while the autopsy has found that the death occurred for "internal bleeding caused by the destruction of the liver and right kidney."
An accident at work? What else? We have no answers in his pocket, the fact is that no one has yet been able or willing to respond.
And the fact is that even while in France most of the national press has dealt with this tragedy wondering about safety in the workplace and in the theater world, in Italy we have not yet managed to find a single drawing, even online , ready to be interested in this case still open, on the death of a young Italian artist who died abroad and at work.
Why? Why?

After a course to play driver had done an internship at the sculpture studio and stage design "Plastikart" in Cesena, run by Zimmermann and Amoroso.
