Balance Homework And Sleep

The letter published by Liberation. NOTE

Dear editors of Liberation,
you contact us to report news ignored by Italian press but which we believe is extremely important.
concerns the death of a boy of only twenty-seven, Alfredo Rates, artist and performer, known technical theater company "Societas Raffaello Sanzio, died in a French theater stage while he was using a machine. Does it feel right
Moreover the news because it opens up questions are not indifferent about what it means to die at work today, and what are the safety conditions existing today in even more of the Italian theater companies, where each day hundreds of young men chasing a dream risk their lives, working in conditions of absolute danger. Alfredo Rates
Offida was born in the province of Ascoli Piceno, in 1981. He was a sculptor, mime and theater performer with the duo "Dalfrenzis", which had in recent years staged many shows, and sold well and even won several prestigious awards.
February 5, 2009, his race was stopped at Dijon in France, where he was preparing for the "Societas Raffaello Sanzio Inferno sets for the show, in mysterious circumstances on which the French police are still investigating.
The first confusing news tells us of a sudden illness (rumored at the beginning: a heart attack), while the autopsy has found that the death occurred for "internal bleeding caused by the destruction of the liver and right kidney."
An accident at work? What else? We do not have answers in your pocket, the fact is that no one has yet been able or willing to respond to several questions concerning the precise circumstances of the accident.
And the fact is that even while in France most of the national press has dealt with this tragedy wondering about safety in the workplace and in the theater world, in Italy in a month we could not find a single drawing, even online, ready to be interested in this case still open, on the death of a young Italian artist who died abroad and at work.
Why? Why?
We ask you please to follow the progress of the investigation on your pages, and to help to ensure that the sacrifice of Alfredo serves at least to raise the issue of security in Italian theaters.
We ask you to break the deafening silence that curtain over a month in Italy, surrounding the whole affair.
Thanking you for your attention, we suggest you open a blog by the friends of Alfredo, which contains information, articles and memoirs http://dialfredo.blogspot.com.

Friends of Alfredo
